"It is a silver moon that dominates the sky tonight. A pearl only apparently touched by a blanket of clouds that seems soft cotton, an impalpable veil that cannot hide it and - indeed - enhances its superb beauty; I remain enchanted by observing the delicate blue light that illuminates the valley, revealing, between the first blankets of a hint of fog, the details of the distant church and the net and shady profile of the trees. The heart beats a little stronger, matching the ancestral feeling of a harmony called "Home". "
The origins of Cascina Ghitin have deep roots and date back to an age where man and nature marked the time in the alternation of the day on the night, of the seasons and of the genuine habit of feeding on the fruits of the earth.
The foundation dates back to the early 1800s and it is here that my great-grandmother Margherita - affectionately declined in the short name Ghitin - spent her long life lovingly dedicating herself to the family and transmitting values that current generations cultivate with passion and respect. Ghitin was a simple and strong woman, lived in a historical context of great changes and whose ancient home is now renewed welcoming our guests to offer the regenerating experience of precious moments in contact with nature in the quiet of a place that evokes a calm of the past.
My family and I are waiting for you in our completely renovated farmhouse surrounded by greenery, where the air brings with it the fresh and sparkling scent of spring and where the wheat and the sun enliven the summer in a blaze of poppies that stand out on the blue of a clear sky; autumn brushes every leaf of an iridescent palette of bright reds and winter turns each snowy hill into whiteness.
